Determination of Disability and Educational Need This section is required for all children referred because they are suspected of having a disability. The six areas addressed in this evaluation are: language dominance and proficiency, physical, emotional/behavioral, sociological, intellectual/adaptive, and educational/developmental.
Assessment of Learning Competencies This section addresses the student’s strengths and needs in any areas identified as a disability. It also includes recommendations for modifications and instruction techniques in regular and special education settings, and adaptive technology needs.
