Special education
law defines state complaint procedures and due processes to safeguard
a free appropriate public education for children with disabilities
in order to resolve problems and or disagreements. This explanation
is readily available on each campus and a signed parental receipt
for this document is contained in the state audit folder of every
special education student. A complete copy of the Individuals with
Disabilities Act 2004 (IDEA) and the State Regulations are available
