Perkins Performance Measure Data
The following page is for the Perkins Performance Measure Data Request. This is a list of all of the available industry certifications that are recognized by the Perkins grant. School districts are required to report the extent of technical skill attainment in their annual Perkins application/evaluation. Students earning industry recognized certifications and licensures is one way to determine the extent of technical skill attainment. Industry standard certification encourages students to work toward a selected industry credential or state license while pursuing a high school diploma. Earning an industry certification has many benefits. It gives students a sense of accomplishment, a highly valued professional credential, and helps students become more employable with higher starting salaries. Valid reliable certifications are also evidence of technical skill attainment. Industry certifications, therefore, are an important component of a Career and Technology Education program of study.
