Counselors
Counselors are available at all Fort Bend ISD campuses to provide developmental guidance, individual or group counseling, parent conferences, consultation and assessment. In addition, counselors may manage the initial stages of the referral process to the Campus Student Support Team. Counselors often are responsible for many functions in the building, including vocational guidance, teacher support, crisis management, standardized assessments, etc. Click Here to view information about Professional School Counselors.

Counselor Assistants
At each campus assistants work hand in hand with counselors to provide the services of the department. These are extremely valuable paraprofessionals who extend the services of the professional staff so that more students are reached and supported.

Our Mission
Believing that each student is unique and capable of learning, it is the mission of the Counseling Division of the Student Support Services Department of Fort Bend ISD to provide opportunities for all students to develop an understanding of themselves and their relationships with their environment and to assume responsibility for their own actions and choices in educational, career, and social environments. Students with special needs will be afforded equal opportunity to achieve success and growth.

In order to realize this mission, the Counseling Division will implement the Developmental Guidance Plan for all students and will respond to the special needs of individual students in a timely and appropriate manner.
