Daniel
Menendez was first elected to Position 4 in 2008. He has been
an active volunteer in the schools and community for years, and
served as a Fort Bend ISD Bond Steering Committee Member. Menendez
graduated from the United States Military Academy in West Point,
New York, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and served
in the U. S. Army prior to returning to the local area. He
has small business ownership experience, however is now working
for the City of Houston as a registered professional engineer with
a focus on engineering and construction. Menendez is a
member of the Houston Hispanic Architects and Engineers as well
as several other professional organizations and boards. He
is an active member of the Exchange Club of Sugar Land and serves
on its Americanism Committee. Daniel and his wife, Jill, have
three children, with the two oldest attending FBISD schools.
