Dress Code Guidelines

Are you in compliance with the school district Dress Code? Student attire and grooming shall not distract, disrupt, create a safety hazard, or take away from the educational process. Please click here to check the district policy. You may also refer to the Student Handbook that all students receive on the first day of school for further details on this year's Dress Code.

Student Insurance

In the past, Fort Bend ISD has purchased a blanket accident only policy for athletes. That coverage will not be provided this year.

However, the District is making an affordable accident only plan available through a Voluntary Student Accident Program. This program gives parents the opportunity to purchase Accident Only Insurance that is effective on the day after enrollment premium has been received by the company and terminates in one year from effective date. There are three (3) programs from which you can choose. One is an At-School accident only insurance program; another is a 24-Hour accident only insurance program and the third is a Varsity Football (Grades 10-12 Fall & Spring) accident only voluntary policy. To enroll your child, you may request an Enrollment Brochure from the Athletic Trainer or the school office, go online to enroll by using the web site www.TexasKidsFirst.com, or you may call

800-366-8354 for an application.

THS Open House

Open House is scheduled for Tuesday, August 31st at 6:00 pm. in the commons
Fort Bend Independent School District has designated Tuesday, August 31st, 2010 as Fall Open House for all high school campuses. Our Open House program will begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m. An optional general meeting will start at 6: 00 p.m. in the auditorium. Some of the clubs and organizations will have booths set up in the commons to provide information concerning the objectives and activities of that group.
Parents will follow their student’s schedule with ten (10) minutes per period. The teacher will have a short presentation concerning the course curriculum, instructional strategies used, classroom expectations, routines and special projects.
As each “class” is only ten minutes, there will not be time for individual or personal questions about your student. However, you may request the teacher schedule a conference, phone call or e-mail with you for a later date. Also, the teacher will ask you to provide all contact information in order to keep you informed throughout the year. It is necessary for you to ask your student for his/her schedule – by period and room number- in order for you to meet all of the seven teachers.
You are also invited to a Book Fair in the Library.

To expedite your progression through Open House, please bring your student's schedule with you.
