New Attendance Procedures effective January 2010
 
Student Check In/Out
o The Attendance Office will be open only during periods 1, 2, 5, and 7. Regular check in/out will take place during these periods.

o During 3rd, 4th and 6th periods, parents and students will be directed to report to their alpha principals’ office to check in/out of school.
 
Students turning in excuse notes:
A student who needs to turn in a note during periods 3rd, 4th and 6th will report to the front office, sign the “Excuse Notes” sign-in log, and drop the note in the drop box.
 
Clinic Sign Out
o Students checking out through the Clinic will simply sign out in the Clinic during 1st through 6th periods.
Please be advised that the Clinic is closed 7th period.
 

The Board approved the following guidelines at their December 14, 2009 meeting:
 
A student shall be excused for up to two (2) days during the student’s junior year and up to two (2) days during the student’s senior year to visit an accredited institution of higher education. A student shall be required to submit verification of such visit(s) by providing a letter from the university/college verifying the date(s) and purpose of the visit in order to be counted present for attendance accounting purposes. If a university/college verification letter is not submitted within two (2) school days after the visit, the absence(s) will be considered unexcused. Students whose absences(s) is(are) excused for the purpose of a university/college visit shall not be penalized for such absence(s) and shall be counted as if he attended school for the purpose of calculating the average daily attendance.

All persons who want to volunteer at our campus must complete an on-line application. Paper applications are no longer being processed. If an individual does not have access to a computer or needs assistance, he/she may go to the Human Resources Office on the first floor of the administration building and they will assist you with the application process.
 
In addition, a social security number is required on all volunteer applications. They are often needed when conducting criminal background checks. Applications without social security numbers will not be processed
