Important Information for the Students and Parents
- School Meal Price Changes Beginning with the 2010-2011 school year, Fort Bend ISD will increase its meal prices. The meal prices have not been increased since 1990, and an increase is required for the Child Nutrition Department to maintain a balanced budget. Click on the enclosed PDF file to view the changes.
- School Day Times to Change! Beginning with the 2010-2011 school year, Fort Bend ISD will be changing bell schedules (start/stop times) at the elementary and middle school levels in an effort to reduce transportation costs by improving the efficiency of routes between bus runs.

- Steroid Testing Important information about the UIL Anabolic Steroid Testing Program - Information has been prepared for distribution to all high school families in the district by the Fort Bend ISD Departments of School Administration, Athletics and Community Relations and Partnerships in a University Interscholastic League (UIL) Anabolic Steroid Testing Parent Letter that is being mailed to homes this week. - Medication Consent Form The Medication Consent form is used when parents bring medication to schools to be given to their child during the school day. All medications (including cough drops) must have written parent consent. Long term medications (inhalers and such) also require Doctor consent.

- School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) The School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is a school board appointed advisory group of individuals who represent different segments of the community. A majority of the members must be parents of students enrolled in the district and who are not employed by the district. The FBISD SHAC is made up of parents, community members, and school staff working together to improve the health of all students and families through coordinated school health programs.

- The 4x4 - New Graduation Requirements Starting with 9th Grade Students in 2007-2008! Beginning with the 2007-08 school year, freshman students entering high school will be required to take four years of math and four years of science - hence the "4x4."
