Partner Spotlight
-
It is with great pride that we shine the spotlight on Next Level! A longtime supporter and donor of the Fort Bend Education Foundation, Next Level graciously served as title sponsor of our inaugural Sink-A-Dink Pickleball Tournament! With their support, the event was a smashing success – literally and financially – netting nearly $24,000 to benefit our Grants to Teachers and Schools programs! We are incredibly grateful to Next Level for their valuable contributions and partnership. Their commitment to the Education Foundation, and FBISD teachers and students, has been instrumental in our success!
Grant In Action Spotlight
-
With a Fort Bend Education Foundation teacher grant, Sartartia Middle School teacher Cynthia Hitchcock has made learning visible and accessible to everyone on the campus. She purchased and placed 14 vinyl decals on the risers of steps in one of the school’s stairwells. Each decal includes a benchmark fraction, decimal, and percent equivalent, along with a visual model. (For example: 0.25 = 25% = 1/4. The graphics include a quarter, a 25% charged battery and 1/4 of a circle shaded in.) Seeing visuals each day helps students transfer the basic facts from short-term to long-term memory, while emphasizing the importance of math.
