National School Lunch Week | October 27-31

Grab your passports and celebrate National School Lunch Week with us!
Fort Bend ISD Child Nutrition is excited to celebrate National School Lunch Week (NSLW) from October 27–31, 2025, with the theme "Taste the World: Your School Lunch Passport!" This week is all about exploring global flavors while highlighting the importance of nutritious school meals.
Elementary students will embark on a culinary journey across continents, tasting dishes inspired by different countries each day. After each meal, students will receive a sticker to place on our Cafeteria Passport Wall, voting for their favorite international cuisine!
Secondary students will get a special treat: a chance to try our winning manager's pizza recipe, featuring bold, fresh toppings from around the world. It's a delicious way to celebrate the creativity and dedication of our cafeteria teams.
Throughout the week, we'll also recognize the hard work of our Child Nutrition staff who prepare meals that nourish both body and mind. Students can join in the fun with online activities, a celebration toolkit, and classroom or at-home engagement opportunities.
Let's celebrate the flavors of the world and the power of a healthy school lunch!

Fort Bend ISD Child Nutrition is proud to participate in the Farm Fresh Challenge! This exciting initiative celebrates our commitment to serving fresh, local ingredients and promoting food education across our campuses.
Throughout October, we join thousands of schools, education sites, farms, and communities nationwide in celebrating National Farm to School Month. It’s time to spotlight:
- Food education
- School gardens
- Lunch trays filled with healthy, local ingredients
We invite students, families, staff, and the entire FBISD community to get involved! Explore the many resources available through Farm to School. Whether it’s learning about where food comes from, supporting local agriculture, or simply enjoying the fresh flavors of the season.
Together, we’re developing healthy habits and stronger connections to our food, our farmers, and our future.
