Welcome to Anne Sullivan Elementary, where we inspire and equip all learners with the skills and self-confidence to become leaders of their own learning.

I am honored and excited to serve as the principal of Anne McCormick Sullivan Elementary. As we proudly celebrate our 10th year of excellence, I reflect with gratitude on how far we’ve come and look forward to all we will accomplish together in the years ahead.

My mission is to continue fostering a school culture where students and staff learn with pride, lead with confidence, and inspire others through their actions. I truly believe that when we create an environment grounded in trust, strong relationships, and high expectations, amazing things happen.

Since 1986, I’ve had the great privilege of serving in the field of education. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Teaching from Sam Houston State University, followed by a Master of Education from the University of Houston. Over the years, I’ve served as a 4th-grade and 7th-grade classroom teacher, department chair, and campus leader—and was honored to be named Teacher of the Year in 1999 and Fort Bend ISD’s Elementary Principal of the Year in 2016.

Outside of school, I’m a proud wife, mother, and member of the Sugar Land community. My husband, Russ, and I are raising our daughter nearby, and our home is full of energy thanks to our two labs, a micro doodle, and a cat. When I’m not on campus, you’ll often find me training for marathons and Ironman races—because I believe balance and wellness are essential for success in all aspects of life.
